Data recovery costs vary depending on media types, file structures, whether or not media needs to be worked on in our clean room environment, replacement parts needed, the time required, and media that data is returned on. Typically, if there is no physical damage and under standard support, single drive recoveries can take 3-5 business days. Because we understand the importance of your data we have try to keep our cost down in order to make our services available to everyone. About 65% of the drives that are submitted to us for data recovery meet the minimum fee requirements. However, recoveries can reach thousands in some instances. A primary element to us keeping the recovery cost to minimum is you. By giving us the complete scenario under which the data los occurred , the files you are looking to recover and where they were previously located it can help us cut down the time required for the recovery.

 

For single drive recoveries we have set our prices to make it simple and affordable for everyone. If you need data recovery from a multiple drives system such as NAS, SAN or RAID please fill our online service request form since we need more information from you before we price the job. This price table is only good for single drive recoveries and have not failed mechanicaly.

The return media type will be CD or DVD. Hard Drive may be required dependin on size of data (extra cost).
 

If the media in question needs to have replacement parts ordered to perform the recovery, a several day delay may occur. In addition, if the media has to be opened in our clean room environment, this will add to the recovery cost.

  Since each problem is unique, no concrete estimate is possible before a complete evaluation is performed. Once the evaluation has been performed, a 3a-ns Data recovery representative will contact you immediately with the diagnosis. We will then provide you via email, the cost to perform the recovery. If your data is not retrievable, there is no charge to you other than replacement parts cost or lab time, if applicable, to perform the evaluation. No recovery will be performed without prior approval unless cost meets minimum fee advertised above.
  Feel confident that if your data is recoverable we will be able to get it. We are confident in saying that if we can't retrieve your data, we will not charge you a penny! Currently, we holds a 98% recovery success rate.

Our "No Data, No Charge" policy ensures that we will do our utmost to recover your data since that is how we get played. It also means that there is no-risk taken in your part by using our services. If your data has been declared unrecoverable by another data recovery company, our "No Data, No charge" policy makes us an excellent choice for a second opinion. There have been numerous cases where we have recovered data that was declared unrecoverable by other data recovery companies. Unlike many other data recovery companies, we do not charge you for preliminary diagnostics.That is, we will examine your drive free of charge as long the mechanics of your drive are operational. If your job requires costs beyond the base service fee we notify you and give you the opportunity to approve or disapprove the job. That is, if the costs of recovery exceed the value of your data, you may terminate the job prior to us starting the recovery process. Please note that priority support charges, service parts, return shipping of your drive, and decontamination charges for fire and water damaged drives are exempt from this policy.
 
  Please note that if your data can be recovered within the base price (about 65% of the jobs submitted to us are) we assume that we are authorized to proceed with the recovery.
Promotional Discounts
Occasionally we may offer promotional Coupons that may be used towards our services. These coupons may not be in any way used in conjunction with other discount programs offered by us.
We offer a $125.00 (US) discount for non-profit organizations. (Can not be combined with any other offer)
Payment
Unless prior arrangements are made, payment is expected at the time data is delivered. We will accept 30 day purchase orders from the following organizations:
 
United States Government or Federal Agencies State Governments or Agencies
County Governments or Agencies City Governments or Agencies
4-year, degree granting colleges/universities.    
Pricing
The single drive Standard service price includes extraction of raw data, up to 5 or 6 hours (depending on filesystem) of reconstruction time, and recording of your recovered data onto a media. This price also includes the media that data will be returned on (unless you request data to be returned on a new hard drive, in which case you must pay extra for the drive).
Approximately 35% of the drives that are submitted to us for data recovery require more reconstruction time than what is allocated under the Standard service fee. Reconstruction is the process of mathematically rebuilding gaps in the file system to whatever degree is necessary to recover the file system or to recover the specific files you are interested in. Approximately 25% of the submitted to us incur this charge.
If replacement components are necessary to recover data from your drive, you must bear the cost of procuring these components. Pleas note that these charges are at cost; we do not apply a mark-up to replacement components.
Priority Charges - If timely recovery of your data is critical and requires around the clock effort, you can request priority service. Please call for current pricing. Please note that this charge is exempt from our "No data, No Charge Policy (see "Policies" above).

Confidentiality - Any information retrieved from your drive is safe with us. We keep all client's data in confidence, and are willing to put it on paper. If your data is sensitive information for you or your organization, we are willing to sign a Non-disclosure agreement to ensure that your proprietary information is safe with us.

 

RAID Recovery (Price)
If no list is provided, percentage of recovered data shall directly correspond to price. No data no charge pricing does not apply to RAID cases or evaluation fees (if any). In RAID cases, percentage of data recovered will directly correspond to hourly rate charged. Call us at 1.800.237.4200 for more details. By sending your medium to ESS Data Recovery, Inc., you agree to be bound by said contract. ESS Data Recovery, Inc. is not responsible for shipping charges. Any claims of missing, corrupted, or otherwise damaged data must be made in writing within 5 business days of your receipt of the recovered data.
